Do you want to improve your English in a relaxed; fun and informal way?   Then consider an Au Pair and Demi pair Programme with us.  You will live with a carefully selected host family and in exchange for light housework; child minding; or cooking family meals you will receive full board accommodation and the change to explore the area and attend English Lessons. Your English language skills will improve daily without you realising.  It’s a fun way to Learn English in a Homestay package.

Au Pair or Demi Pair placements can be from 6 weeks to one year.  Its very popular in the summer for students to come and improve their English before going to University and it helps working mothers during the long summer holidays. It’s a great sort of working holiday in the country of your choice.  If you choose to go to South Africa you will have a holiday of a lifetime and can also stay on to volunteer there as well.  Be sure to ask about Volunteering in Africa when you contact us.

Be sure that after your agreed and contracted working hours, you will have free time to investigate the local area; meet other au pairs or attend English Lessons.   You will always get a private room that is your own space.
Its very much a part time commitment but you can determine and negotiate hours with your new host family before you arrive.  That way, everyone is happy.  It is also another form of work experience and many people use this as their first step into independence.  Your commitment to this family can be from 1 month (although the normal is from 6 weeks) to one year.

We work and operate in a variety of English speaking counties. Here are just a few

United Kingdom – including Scotland and Ireland

New Zealand

South Africa

Malaysia – English speaking families there

  • Au Pair duties usually revolve around children and the family.  However we have had some people contact us for au pairs to look after animals; some gardening; working in small shops and even a farm.  All of these form an exciting way to learn and improve your English whilst abroad getting some pocket money and working for about 16 to 20 hours a week.   If you choose the option to work a few more hours and get pocket money whilst being an au pair, this will not be subject to tax and you will still have free accommodation and food whilst staying with your family.
  • Its just as worrying for host families who agree to welcome an au pair or a demi pair as it is for you to live with them.  Both sides will be worried.  Rest assured we will help you on your Work Experience Journey.  Making friends; learning English; finding out about the English country of your choice.
  • Be assured that after a week or so you will make friends with other Au pairs in the area and take time with them to improve and speak English or even attend an English class.
  • Whatever country you choose for your Au Pair or Demi Pair experience, you will find a dedicated Local Co Ordinator there ready to welcome you to your new host family; help you in the first few days and generally be your first point of call should you feel worried or homesick or need some help.  They will have met and inspected your host family to ensure that your work load is not too much; that they are warm and friendly and that your bedroom is of a suitable size and comfort for you.  In short, we ask them to offer you a “ home from home”.

It’s a great way to learn and improve English to help you in your chosen career.  So what’s stopping you?  Contact us now or fill in the application form and lets get you on your way to improving English as fast as we can. Please take a look at our Au Pair and Demi pair Programme here.
