Hello, my name is Clare, I live in Shoreham by Sea with my son Jude who is two years old. We are a happy little family, we enjoy spending time at home and going out on adventures.
Shoreham by sea is a small town on the South coast of England, just twenty minutes away from the city of Brighton and Hove. We live in a lovely sunny house, which is just a couple of minutes walk from the beach. I work as a part time interior designer, I have my own business working for clients who want to refurbish their homes. I often tell people my job is not as glamorous as it sounds because much of my time is spent fixing problems on building sites! I have an office in the center of town and Jude goes to nursery when I work.
When we are at home we enjoy hanging out together, eating nice food and having fun. You will often find me in the kitchen cooking, Jude likes to spend his time playing with trains and cars! In our free time we enjoy getting out and about. There’s lots to do in the local area and having the beach so close we can swim in summer and take walks in winter. Brighton is very accessible and has some great shops and restaurants. There are also lots of events that I like to visit that run throughout the year such as Brighton arts festival. We also enjoy taking trips out to the Sussex country side, for walks or to a farm or country house and taking the train to London for the day out.
On the whole I would describe us as a friendly, active family, I am sociable but also enjoy quiet time to read, watch a movie or chill out.

Shoreham by sea is a small town with with a friendly community. The location is fantastic, the beach is on one side, the River Adur runs through it and there’s country side to the other side. From our house you can walk into the town center over a striking modern footbridge. In town you will find a quaint town center with a lovely church and pretty buildings. Running along the high street are a good selection of shops; chemists, bakers, hairdressers, beauticians, and clothes shops as well as a supermarket and plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. There’s also some nice parks and a swimming pool.
In the local area there’s plenty of a activities you can try out, cycling is very popular along with water pursuits such as dingy sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking. There’s also plenty of lovely local walks along river, sea or country side. We also have a small local airport which you can visit, is used by light aircraft including many vintage planes which often fly over our house.
Shoreham is located between the larger town of Worthing and the City of Brighton and Hove, both can be accessed by train or bus in twenty minutes. There really is something for everyone, you will find lots of shops ( both high street stores and more Interesting boutiques), cinemas and theatres, art galleries and museums and more places to enjoy a drink and a meal than you could manage to visit! Central London is an hour and a half away by train.
I’m happy to provide trips to locations that would particularly interest you.
