Having been a teacher for over 30 years, I have worked with students of all ages and abilities. As a teacher of French in a variety of schools, I prepared students for both GCSE and A level examinations. I have also taught EFL in the classroom and at home for many years.. Working as a tutor on a one-to-one basis is very rewarding, as I can adapt my teaching materials to suit the individual needs and get immediate feedback from the student. Speaking and listening skills are essential in language learning and within a personal tuition session, these skills can be developed fully. I enjoy helping my students to overcome their difficulties and achieve their full potential. I find that in the home environment my students make excellent progress as they are removed from the pressures of the classroom and are able to ask for help when confused. Language learning in this way can be both fun and rewarding. I particularly enjoy helping my Homestay students to learn about the variety of British culture.
