About :

Rachel lives with one of her daughters and divides her time between the UK and Spain. Both locations offer a wonderful aspect in which to learn the English Language. The student’s room in Rachel’s home has a double bed, desk and plenty of space for clothes and the other bedroom has one single beds. This makes for an ideal CLUB FAMILY PROGRAMME. The communal bathroom has a bath and overhead shower. Rachel’s family eat healthy, home-cooked vegetarian food – although meat can be provided if required. Rachel caters for all types of dietary intolerance and allergy, and has considerable experience of managing these.

Rachel qualified in 2017 but was teaching long before then. She studied for the Level 5 TEFL Certificate and passed with Distinction. She also holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Business, and this has an added bonus of her being offering Business English as well as General and Exam English. Vallencia offers a great learning environment for students of all ages and levels to be immersed in English with Rachel and her family.

Rachel’s earlier career was based in the financial services industry, with roles over a 25-year period which included client relationship, risk and fraud management for various banking groups. During this time, she had experience in delivering education and teaching as follows:
• Head of Education for a professional body for 4 years – writing and managing courses.
• Director of a training business, which Rachel set up to provide training and education to the financial services industry.
• Rachel wrote the material, arranged the venues and did most of the training, typically to groups of 20 to 30 people.
• For the last 15 years, in addition to her full time work duties, Rachel has been involved in writing and marking examinations and coursework and voluntarily teaching and coaching people in the workplace.

Rachel loves teaching and sees her Homestay role as being much more than English language teaching, but also about sharing time and British culture with new people, eating together, talking together and introducing students to her friends and family. Rachel’s home environment is welcoming, relaxing and full of fun. Additionally she is more than happy for you to spend time at the beach as well as enjoy cultural days out with her around Valencia.
Valencia has a wealth of history and culture and is a great place for people to come and spend time, basking in the Spanish history as well as learning English in the sunshine

About the Local Area :

Valencia is a wonderfully old Spanish city steeped in history. There are so many things to see and we can spend the afternoons visiting them and discussing them . In English, of course.

Maybe you want to spend some time on the beach and that is fine. Afterwards we can walk around the old town and find a shady corner to enjoy a cold drink. When they have their local markets we will visit and haggle with them.
Churches and Castles abound throughout the City and I know where we can have the best Paella in all of Spain. So come and learn English in sunny Spain and find out about Valencia as well
